0623R04 Mr. Montalvo, President of Consolidated Energy Design, Inc. (CED) has designed an innovative and intricate energy conservation system that will reduce their utility costs by approximately eighty percent (80%) to ninety percent (90%). The energy conservation system employs high-efficiency heating and cooling equipment so that the home is using less energy overall and will be powered by solar photovoltaic panels, thereby minimizing the purchase of electric and gas from the local utility companies. Energy conservation was not the only goal in mind when rehabbing their home. In fact, the Montalvo’s have also enlisted sustainable building materials to not only follow the LEED® Certification Standards, but to also promote a healthy living environment.
