Distinguished Service Award - Bruce Turner, AIA

Bruce D. Turner, AIA, is the sole practitioner of Bruce D. Turner Architect, specializing in commercial, municipal and residential work. In addition to having an active practice, he serves AIA South Jersey, AIA New Jersey, and has recently been named to an AIA committee on the national level.

Young Architect of the Year - Michael Hanrahan, AIA

Michael Hanrahan, AIA has been a key member of Clarke Canton Hintz for over thirteen years. He has served as project manager for many of the firms notable and award winning projects. In addition to distinguishing himself professionally, he has volunteered to serve his time to the profession, including AIA Central and AIA New Jersey, Construction Specifications Institute, Preservation New Jersey, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Intern Architect of the Year - Jason Peist, Associate AIA

Jason Peist's mental filtering and strong level of concentration mixed with the visual communication skills he developed while living with his speech impediment has cultivated a highly creative and perceptual personality. A 2008 graduate of NJIT, he hired after graduating at T.M. Rybak & Associates where he worked a semester & summer. Jason has been crucial in the technological evolution of the firm, including providing input on integrating green design.

 New Jersey Resident of the Year -Steven Littleson

Steven Littleson, FACHE has been president of Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ, since December, 1997. In July, 2009, Jersey Shore will complete New Jersey's single largest hospital construction and renovation project. The project incorporates many examples of evidence based design and is expected to achieve LEED certification at the Silver of Gold level.
