Media Outreach and Advertising

The Public Awareness Committee continues to be busy promoting AIA NJ architects and their accomplishments.

The Committee is currently following up on Design Day press. A package of press releases with photos and the architect's statement was sent to a variety of targeted local and statewide papers. A number of papers, including the Trenton Times and the Princeton Packet have shown an interest in printing a feature story about the winning projects. The New York Times ran a feature article about the Design Award winners on Sunday, December 7th. Press releases with photos were also sent out to targeted papers about the service award winners.

This year the Committee also focused on a paid advertising campaign. Advertising is a costly venture and can be limiting. We were able to create a radio sponsorship campaign that will fit in to the Committee's budget while maximizing the limited amount of airtime we could afford. The Board approved the Committee's plan and radio spots will will play on NJ 101.5 FM and WBGO jazz 88.
